Ferdinand I, Holy Roman Emperor is represented in this anonymous portrait as a young archduke. He left his native Spain in his early twenties to start his life as future King of the Romans and successor to his grandfather, Maximilian I. His older brother Charles eventually succeeded as Holy Roman Emperor, but Ferdinand inherited the Empire after Charles’s death. Philip, Charles’s son, eventually became King Philip II of Spain. Ferdinand ruled between 1558 and 1564, a span of nearly six years.
This is my first of many Wikipedia lessons :)

I have an idea…
Okay, so, I have a genius idea which will help me to become cleverer and also more cultured…
Each day I am going to attempt to post an article from Wikipedia on this blog, after I have read it and changed it into my own words to prove I know what it means (this way I will definitely be learning something new each day - even of college doesn’t teach me anything…)
If anyone has any ideas on what topics I should research then let me know!
Oh i should point out that I cannot garuntee posting one each day due to other priorities such as college work will should in the long run prove im slightly clever :)

I have a dream…
I don’t really, it’s more of a goal. I want to make myself more cultured. Yano like those girls you see walking around college who have amazing looks and an amazing sense of style and have everything they could possibly want and on top of that they can tell you everything you could need to know about the Greek God’s or WW1 it’s amazing!
And so my goal or my resolution i should call it for 2012 (yes i realise that my resolution was meant to be decided nearly three months ago - but never mind) is to become a more cultured (and lets face it, it all comes down to the fact that I want to be cleverer).
And so as of this moment on… Erin Paterson is going to be open minded and absorb information like a sponge absorbs water….
Remember people - positive thoughts promote positive actions… or atleast they better do!
